What types of programs does BGA offer?

We are proud to offer a variety of programs for all ages!

  • Our recreational offerings are divided into two programs: Sea of Fun (under 6) and Recreational (6 & up). We also host Coach Bill for trampoline classes (ages 13+).
  • Our competitive and pre-competitive programs are available for ages 4 and up.
  • Our Movers and Shakers Licensed Child Care program is available for preschool aged children Monday to Friday.
  • We also offer summer camp,  private lessons and amazing birthday parties.

What is the Gymnastics Ontario fee?

This annual insurance fee is mandated by our governing body, Gymnastics Ontario. It is required each season for all gymnasts and coaches who are involved in any discipline of the sport of gymnastics. It is due on an annual basis, following the Gymnastics Ontario season dates which run July 1st to June 30th of the following year. This year's GO fee is valid July 1st 2023 - June 30th 2024. Anyone registering in programs after July 1st, 2024 will be required to renew for the 2024-2025 season.

What should my child bring/wear to gymnastics?

Gymnasts must arrive ready to actively participate. Proper gym attire includes comfortable clothing, bare feet, no jewelry, and long hair tied up. No zippers, buttons, or buckles. Water bottles are only required for 1.5+ hour classes and must be labelled with athlete's name.

How many children are in a class?

Class ratio varies depending on the size of the class. It is usually 7:1, with a CIT (Coach-In-Training). Keep in mind that classes may be cancelled or combined due to lack of sufficient enrolment.

What do we do when we arrive for our first class?

Drop-off and pick-up information and locations will be provided via email once registered. Upon arrival, all footwear should be left on the mats or shelves provided at your assigned entry door. All outer clothing articles can be left in the change room or cubbies. Please wait for coach direction before coming onto the gym floor at the start of your scheduled class time.

Can I watch?

Since adding our newly licensed Movers and Shakers Child Care program, our former viewing area has been re-purposed as a preschool activity room. For this reason, parents are no longer able to enter the facility to watch recreational gymnastics classes on a weekly basis (except for Shrimp and Squids classes). Instead, you will receive an assigned date to come view your child in action once per session. This information will be recieved via email once the session has begun. To ensure you receive detailed feedback on your child's progress at gymnastics, a skills report with coach comments will be sent home at the end of the Fall and Winter sessions. Our end-of year Parent's Day will occur at the end of the Spring Session. If you have any specific questions or concerns about your child's experience inside our facility, please feel free to contact us.

What do parents or caregivers do in a Shrimp class?

Parents or caregivers attend the class to accompany their child as they explore our gym and are responsible for supervising their child at all times. You are asked to wait at your assigned entry point for coach direction before coming onto the gym floor at the start of each class.

What do parents or caregivers do in a Squids class?

Parents or caregivers attend the class to assist their child with the circuit and are responsible for keeping their child with the group at all times. You are asked to wait at your assigned entry point for coach direction before coming onto the gym floor at the start of each class.

What payment options do you offer?

For payment tracking and organizational purposes, all payments must be made by e-transfer to payments@brockvillegym.comPlease DO NOT send any EMTs to our primary contact email address (info@brockvillegym.com).
