Testimonials

“Wow, I am so impressed with the Movers and Shakers Preschool Program. It has helped my daughter advance her gymnastics skills as well as prepare her immensely for Kindergarten. I always know that my daughter is having fun as she always comes home filled with smiles and loves to show off her new skills including writing, counting and reciting colours in French, artwork, fun songs and of course her handstands and rolls. I am beyond thankful for this program and the amazing educators who make it happen. My daughter has made friends and memories to last a lifetime.”

"There are no words that will adequately express my level of satisfaction and admiration for the Movers and Shakers program.  This program has more than prepared my child for kindergarten.  From numeracy to literacy, social-emotional learning and gross motor skills; I cannot recommend this program enough.  11/10 program."

"Such an incredible program! We've watched our daughter grown, learn, and make great friends with Movers and Shakers. She loves the teachers and comes home every day with a new trick, song, something she's made, and a story. Movers and Shakers has gave her a great start to Kindergarten by teaching letters, numbers, writing and more! We are so happy with this program and can't thank the teachers enough for their patience, guidance, and special care they put in every day."

-Audrey's mom(Danielle Brinkworth)

"We have now had 2 children graduate from the movers and shakers preschool program. I can't even begin to put into words how grateful I am that my girls had the opportunity to be apart of such an amazing program. Emily and her team consistently go above and beyond for the kids and their families. They have been an amazing resource and support system for us for the past 3 years. The skills the kids learn in gym not only help them physically but mentally as well. The confidence Elsie is leaving this program with is insane. So much growth happened for her this year. She is counting in French and English. She is writing her name. She is so ready to start JK and it is all thanks to the movers and shakers program."

What does my child need to bring to Movers and Shakers?

Children need to come to child care in comfortable clothing, ready to actively participate in preschool gymnastics activities. They should also bring appropriate outerwear for the weather as we spend 2 hours outside each day (weather permitting). Each child is to bring a healthy lunch along with snacks in a insulated lunch bag with icepack.  They must also bring their  own refillable water bottle labelled with their first and last name. Children who nap should also bring any necessary blankets or comfort items. All belongings should be sent in a backpack.

How do I know if my child is ready for preschool?

If your child is preschool-aged (at least 30 months), fully potty-trained, and can function independently, they might be ready for Movers and Shakers! Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Why gymnastics?

Gymnastics activities help to work on your child’s coordination, static and dynamic balance, posture, body awareness and strength. It also develops physical courage, determination, perseverance and self-confidence. Research shows that movement promotes language development. This program will also help to develop group readiness skills, patience, fairness, and following directions.
